about us

At Arrowhead Acres, we believe gatherings should be more than events—they should be soulful experiences rooted in creativity, connection, and belonging.

Our 10-acre property, with its rustic barn, cozy log cabin, and sweeping meadows, was created to feel like a step back in time. Here, golden light filters through the trees, firelight invites quiet conversations, and every corner carries the patina of stories waiting to be told.

But Arrowhead Acres is more than a backdrop—it’s the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to create a space where people can come together to learn, share, and grow. From creative workshops and educational gatherings to heartfelt celebrations and community events, our hope is that this land continues to serve as a welcoming extension of home for all who visit.

Our Story

We’re Ryan and Susan Waterman—a husband-and-wife team who share a love for creating meaningful spaces and experiences. Both of us grew up on acreage, which instilled in us a deep appreciation for wide-open land, hard work, and the simple joys of life outdoors.

Ryan is an engineer and designer by trade—a hands-on dreamer who brings ideas to life with skill and precision. I (Susan) spent years as a teacher, and have always carried that same heart for learning and connection into my love of design and gathering people. I believe that thoughtful spaces–like thoughtful lessons–can inspire people to slow down, connect, and grow together. Our strengths blend naturally into what Arrowhead Acres has become: a place built with heart, purpose, and intention.

At the center of it all are our two daughters, who inspire us daily. One of the reasons we took the leap into this adventure was to show them that you can build something meaningful from the ground up—that when you follow your own arrow, anything is possible.

Arrowhead Acres isn’t just a venue—it’s a gathering place where creativity meets community, where people can breathe deeply, embrace the quiet hum of nature, and remember the joy of belonging.

And if you happen to spot two cheerful mini goldendoodles exploring the property, that’s just another part of our story—they’re family, bringing laughter and joy to every corner of Arrowhead Acres.
